To continueLaura Ashley was a British fashion designer. She understood that one couldn’t possibly appeal to all of the people, all of the time. One needs to appeal to some of them, some of the time. She just studied what people really wanted basically and gave them what they were looking for. She understood that there are always areas in a market that are missing and one needs to fill those areas. Her fashion gave women a tender, dignified simple modest and a noble look.
Laura gave women an alternative look which all women regardless of their figures could be happy to wear.
Her fashion was inspired from the Victorian and Edwardian Eras.
In front of us there is a sample of a green pattern dress with a stand-up neck and lace trimming, cuffed sleeves and a frilled edged skirt.
